Leashed dogs are welcome across this northern Wisconsin forest and its share of the North Country Trail, but not in designated swimming areas.

Leashed dogs are welcome on trails including the North Country National Scenic Trail and around the forest's many lakes. Dogsled travel is allowed except where the trail follows the Penokee Mountain Ski Trail.
