Dogs in the national forests.

Here is the good news. Unlike the national parks, the national forests are almost all dog-friendly. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails, with a 6-foot leash required in developed areas and a few site-specific exceptions. Every forest verified against the Forest Service.
