Dogs in Umpqua National Forest

Can I bring my dog, and on which trails?
Dog-friendly

The Umpqua protects 983,239 acres on the western slopes of the Oregon Cascades, home to waterfalls like Toketee Falls and miles of trail where dogs are welcome. This is bear country, so keeping a dog under control protects both your pet and the wildlife.

Dogs can hike the forest's trails through old-growth and along rivers and lakes across the Cottage Grove, Diamond Lake, North Umpqua, and Tiller districts. Leash pets at developed recreation sites and keep them controlled on general trails.
