Where dogs are banned

The entire Virginia portion (even in your car), all backcountry campsites, nature trails, the lifeguard-protected beach, portions of Assateague State Park, and the area north of the state park to the Ocean City inlet.

Leash rule

6 feet maximum, at all times.

Service animals

Service animals are allowed where pets are not, under the ADA. A leash is still required.
