At Gulf Islands, leashed pets are welcome on trails, paved paths, and park roads, but they are banned from every beach and all forts and buildings.

Where dogs are banned

All park beaches on both the gulf and bay sides and all barrier island beaches, water less than five feet deep, all forts and facilities, and on top of historic structures like sea walls and batteries.

Leash rule

6 feet maximum, at all times.

Service animals

Service animals are allowed where pets are not, under the ADA. A leash is still required.
