Whiskeytown welcomes leashed dogs on hiking trails and along most of the lakeshore, plus roads and campgrounds. The main restrictions are swim beaches and buildings.

Where dogs are banned

Inside public buildings, the visitor center, and Camden House; Brandy Creek Beach, Oak Bottom Beach, East Beach, and the Whiskey Creek Group Picnic Area swim beach; and within lake swim buoys.

Leash rule

6 feet maximum, at all times.

Service animals

Service animals are allowed where pets are not, under the ADA. A leash is still required.
