Dogs are allowed only on a few paved roads at Mt. Tam, not on the park's extensive dirt-trail network.

Leashed dogs permitted on paved roads, Old Stage Fire Road, the paved Verna Dunshee Trail, and in developed/campground/picnic areas; all other dirt trails and backcountry are off-limits.
