Leashed dogs are welcome across the Allegheny, but the swim beaches at several Allegheny Reservoir campgrounds are off-limits to pets. The standard 6-foot leash applies in developed areas.

Leashed dogs are welcome on trails including the North Country National Scenic Trail, the paths around Kinzua (Allegheny Reservoir), and the Hickory Creek Wilderness. Kiasutha Campground allows leashed dogs near its grassy swimming beach.
